    KDTU Plans Late Night Las Vegas Show After Panic/Mule at House of Blues!

    The King of the Late Night will be taking the stage at the House of Blues in Las Vegas at 2am Saturday, October 23rd  ( officially early Sunday morning) to play into the wee hours. Doors will open at 1am following the Widespread Panic/ Govt Mule show at the Joint and the Tiny Universe will hit the stage at 2am for two full sets. Vegas is a 24/7 town so this will be a late one. Tickets are $25 and fanclub ticketing will go onsale at noon mst today through http://www.karldenson.com. The night before, KDTU will be headlining the Boarding for Breast Cancer Benefit at the Montbleu Resort Showroom in Lake Tahoe. This is a great event and tickets will also be available today through fanclub ticketing.

    The band will be doing two shows in Colorado this weekend, playing Friday at the Mishawaka Ampitheatre in Ft. Collins with our friends the Kyle Hollingsworth band opening up and headlining the Electric Avenue Festival at Historic Five Points in downtown Denver on Saturday with Living Legends and Anders Osborne.

    KDTU announces Telluride Phish aftershows!

    Karl Denson's Tiny Universe will hit the Telluride Conference Center for two very special shows after the Phish concerts in Town Park on August 9th and 10th.  This will be an 11:30pm show with doors to open an hour prior (Phish will end at 11pm latest).  The Gondola will be running for free all night to accommodate concert goer's and there will be a full bar at the venue.  Tickets are on sale now from KDTU Ticketing. There will also be cash tickets available at Telluride Music located at 201 East Colorado in downtown this Friday while they last.  This show will be all ages and additional Telluride ticketing outlets may be announced soon.  This one is not to be missed.

    New Shows Announced

    Karl Denson's Tiny Universe has announced a special show at the Fox Theatre in Boulder on Thursday June 24th. Tickets for this intimate show are on sale now and are only $20 and available from http://www.karldenson.com or the Fox box office. This show will sell out in advance. Although festival season is upon us, the Tiny Universe is pleased to announce several headlining club performances throughout the summer. On Friday June 25th, The band will play outside in Santa Fe, NM at the Santa Fe Brewing Company and KDTU will hit the Carolinas in July at The Windjammer in Isle of Palms, SC on the 22nd (tickets on sale now) and at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheatre in Wilmington, NC on the 23rd. ***Stay tuned for ticket info for Sante Fe, NM and Wilmington, NC.     GBA to Play Benefit Show in San Diego Tomorrow

    Tomorrow The Greyboy Allstars play a benefit for Kelly Stillwell in their hometown of San Diego at the Belly Up.  GBA bassist Chris Stillwell's twin sister, Kelly, was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is now facing financial hardship.  Proceeds from this performance will benefit Kelly, so please come out and show your support! Doors open and DJ SK spins at 8pm, GBA hits at 9pm. Tickets are $20 in advance from bellyup.com and $22 at the door.

    Portland ME venue change tonight

    Due to unforeseen circumstances, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe will be moving tonight's show in Portland, Maine to the Port City Music Hall located at 504 Congress Street. Doors will be at 8:00 PM and KDTU will start at 9:30 PM. The show will not take place at the Asylum and any advance tickets purchased for the show at Asylum will be refunded at point of purchase. In addition, tickets for tonight's show at the Port City Music Hall have been reduced to $15 and can be purchased at the door with no additional fees. Karl Denson's Tiny Universe deeply regrets any inconvenience caused by this change of venue and we thank you for your continued support.

    KDTU Announces New Midwest dates, Brooklyn Bowl, Jazzfest in April

    The Tiny Universe will be heading back out on the road this week, making stops in Phoenix at the Compound Grill on Thursday, Flagstaff at the Orpheum on Friday and the Belly Up in Solana Beach, CA on Saturday.  This will be KDTU’s first hometown show since the release of Brother's Keeper and many surprises await. 

    Karl Denson's Tiny Universe will be returning to the Midwest for a series of shows in April.  KDTU kicks off at the Majestic Theatre in Madison, WI on Thursday the 15th, plays the Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis for the first time on Friday the 16th, and wraps up with a stop in Chicago at the Vic Theatre on Saturday the 17th.  A limited amount of pre-sale tickets will be available this Wednesday at 10am CST from KDTU Ticketing, and tickets will go on sale to the public through all normal channels on Friday March 12th.

    Come Bowling in Brooklyn with KDTU in April for two nights at the Brooklyn Bowl on Friday the 23rd and Saturday the 24th.     KDTU and GBA at Jazzfest… The Tiny Universe will be performing only once this year, playing a post Panic late night party at Tipitina’s that starts at 2am on Thursday (Friday morning) April 29th and continues until sunrise.  You will have two chances to catch The Greyboy Allstars, the first is at Tipitina’s late night on Friday night (Saturday morning) April 30th and the second is on the Riverboat Creole Queen for a trip up and down the Mississippi on Saturday May 1st at 9pm.  The Riverboat leaves from downtown New Orleans and will feature Kirk Joseph’s 504 Brass Band kicking off the party on the deck...

    In other news,  The Greyboy Allstars are in the studio this week working on the follow up to 2007’s What Happened To TV? and preparing new cuts for their upcoming tour in Colorado in late March.  The band plays in Avon (Vail), CO at Agave on the 24th, performs a free daytime show at Winter Park Resort on the 25th and will blow it out in Aspen on the 26th at the base of the gondola.  For those of you not in the mountains, GBA returns to the front range for a very special night at the Ogden Theatre in Denver on Saturday the 27th with special guests to be announced.  The Allstars will then venture to Jackson Hole, WY for a performance at the new Pink Garter Theatre.     KDTU and GBA announce Alaska, Colorado and new Jazzfest dates!

    Karl Denson's Tiny Universe will be be returning to Jazzfest for a special sunrise performance at Tipitina's on Thursday April 29th.  The Greyboy Allstars have added a second Jazzfest play aboard the Riverboat Creole Queen on Saturday, May 1st.  GBA will also be doing the late night set at Tipitina's on Friday April 30th.  Tickets for all Jazzfest shows are available now from either the KDTU Ticketing or GBA Ticketing pages.

The band has just announced new shows in Anchorage, Alaska on Thursday April 1st, Santa Cruz at Moe's Alley on March 8th, and San Francisco at the Independent on the 9th and 10th with DJ Logic supporting.

    In other news, The Greyboy Allstars will take a break from recording their new album in March to do a run of shows at the end of the month.  GBA will perform in Winter Park on Thursday the 25th and in Aspen at Gondola Plaza on Friday the 26th.  The band then goes to Denver to play the Ogden Theatre on Saturday, March 27th.  A limited amount of pre-sale tickets will be available tomorrow from GBA Ticketing.     New Karl Denson tour, The Greyboy Allstars hit the Northwest

    After an incredible run with The Greyboy Allstars in December, legendary performances by KDTU on Jam Cruise, an upcoming run with GBA in the Northwest and the triumphant return to the Fillmore in San Francisco, KDTU will go back on the road for the entire month of February.  After a weekend in Tahoe on February 5th and 6th and a Texan hit at La Zona Rosa in Austin on Friday February 12th, the Tiny Universe joins up with our friends Galactic for a series of shows starting with two shows at Tipitina's.  The bands have some very special collaborations in the works, stay tuned for details.  KDTU will celebrate Mardi Gras with a show at the Lyric, special New Orleans flavored guests will be announced shortly.  The Tiny Universe will also perform their first hometown show in support of the new album, Brother's Keeper, at the Belly Up in Solana Beach on March 13th.

    In other Karl Denson news, The Greyboy Allstars will be performing new material on this upcoming run in preparation for the follow up to their last album, What Happened To Television?.  The band will enter the studio in March with plans of a late fall release.

    A Tiny Thanksgiving in San Francisco with Karl Denson…

    Karl Denson's Tiny Universe is celebrating Thanksgiving weekend in San Francisco this year with two shows at The Independent on Friday November 27th and Saturday November 28th.  This will be the last 2009 dates for KDTU who have been touring nonstop in support of their latest record Brother's Keeper.  Joining forces with the Tiny Universe is fellow Greyboy Allstars member Robert Walter's 20th Congress who will be supporting both nights.  Other members of the Congress include Cochemea Gastelum Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, Amy Winehouse), Chuck Prada (Black Eyed Peas) as well as Chris Stillwell and Aaron Redfield from The Greyboy Allstars.  It will be a family affair so expect quite a few collaborations throughout the nights.  There are still a few tickets left from KDTU Ticketing and Ticketweb.

    Doors open at 8:30pm, the 20th Congress hits at 9pm, and KDTU at 10pm.

    In other news, Karl will be rejoining The Greyboy Allstars for a short run of dates in December including New Year's Eve In Denver at the Ogden.  It is getting harder and harder for these guys to play with everyone's individual schedules so if you haven't seen the band, this is where it all started...

    New KDTU Record Available Now!

    Karl Denson's Tiny Universe is pleased to announce that the new album, Brother's Keeper, is in stores now! Brother's Keeper, the long-awaited follow up to The Bridge (2002), features an all-star cast including Jon Foreman of Switchfoot, Meshell Ndegeocello, Marc Ford (Black Crowes), and members of the Dap Kings, Eric Clapton's band and The Greyboy Allstars. The album is available to purchase online here and from iTunes.

    The band is currently on the road in support of the new record and we have announced a few new dates- KDTU will be returning to The Independent in San Francisco for two Thanksgiving weekend shows on November 27th and 28th. Other new dates include 10/4 at the Domino Room in Bend, OR, 10/6 at The Red Fox Tavern in Eureka, CA, and 10/18 at the Pozo Saloon in Santa Margarita, CA.     Halloween in NYC

    Karl Denson's Tiny Universe will be holding their annual Halloween extravaganza at the intimate Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Details and guests will be announced shortly, tickets go on sale through KDTU Fan Club Ticketing at 10am PST on Thursday August 27th and through the Bowery Ballroom on Friday August 28th at 10am EST.

    The second leg of the Brother's Keeper tour will take the band back to the Northwest, with shows in Seattle at the Showbox on October 2nd and the legendary Crystal Ballroom in Portland on October 3rd.  The Tiny Universe will then head down the coast to Sebastopol on October 7th, destroying a two night run in Santa Cruz on October 8th and 9th at Moe's Alley and a very special appearance at the Mint in LA on October 10.  This show has a limited capacity and will go quickly so plan accordingly. All the West Coast shows after Portland will be "an evening with" with special extended sets by KDTU.  The band returns home to San Diego co-headline a hometown San Diego show at the Smokin' in the Park Festival on October 17th with our friends Los Lobos and JJ Grey and Mofro.

    KDTU Continues to the Midwest for a return to the Bluebird in Bloomington on Friday October 23rd and the Double Door in Chicago on October 24th.  The band will hit Cleveland, Syracuse, Portland ME and Troy NY (then Halloween!) before heading south to perform at the Variety in Atlanta on November 5th, the Music Farm in Charleston on November 6th ending at the Orange Peel in Asheville on November 7th.

    The Tiny Universe is about to launch KarlDenson.com 2.0, a new website with videos and pictures from the tour, Karl's daily blog (yes, Karl has started blogging.  He is posting daily now on Myspace and Facebook, leave him some comments, encouragement and love!) and new merch and posters by Rock Art maniac Scrojo.  We have also just posted another teaser from the upcoming " Brother's Keeper" album, the track titled "Where It Counts" is up now for streaming on the KDTU Myspace and Facebook pages.  The full album will be released worldwide on September 15th.
